Nagisa Okada is 25 and from Japan. She has been studying at English UK member Live Language in Glasgow since October 2008.
She's a very popular student at her school, partly because she can create fantastic henna tattooes to her own design for classmates.
Why did you choose to come to the UK?
Because I have some friends here, and I like the accent. I really don't like the American accent!
What made you choose the language school and town?
I had heard that Scotland was friendly – and it is – and because Live Language courses could start at any time of the year.
Are you enjoying your time in the UK? What do you like most?
Yes. I like men in kilts the best. They're very sexy to me! And, yes, I've heard the jokes about it!
Has anything surprised you - good or bad?
Fried pizzas and fried haggis are something you can't find in Japan.
How will learning English change your life?
I am not sure yet but I can speak Russian, Japanese and Arabic and English will help me speak to more people. I got interested in it when I lived in Egypt for a year, and found it easier to learn English than Arabic. I hope to work in the travel business later but I am not really sure yet.
Would you recommend learning English in the UK to your friends?
Yes. My course will finish soon but I am intending to come back with a new visa and take exams in December.
