DELTM 2011/2012 course starts!

The Professional Services Team is pleased to announce that a full group has started studying for the DELTM 2011 to June 2012.

The DELTM course is an advanced-level modular programme specifically designed for ELT practitioners who wish to widen their understanding and knowledge of management techniques, theory and practice and expand their horizons in the English Language Teaching industry. This practical and interactive course is comprised of 10 modules which are taught over 10 intensive one-day contact sessions from September to June.

Course applicants will normally hold an RSA/Trinity Diploma in TEFL/TESOL or have a minimum of two years' management experience in an ELT organisation. Normally applicants would be at Principal, Academic Director, DOS or ADOS level.

Although the group is now up and running for 2011 / 2012, please contact the Professional Services Team to register interest for next year's group or with any questions you might have.

Assessment and course structure

The course is assessed through five coursework assignments and an external project, designed to be practical in nature and directly relevant to the participant's own organisation. Training sessions are combined with self-study to ensure flexibility for the busy ELT professional. Monthly face-to-face sessions at the English UK centre in London are led by a team of leading ELT management experts including George Pickering, Terry Phillips and Keith Harding. The course is demanding but very rewarding.

Organisational Behaviour; The 21st Century Manager; Human Resource Management; Financial Management; Marketing and Sales; Academic & Specialist Course Management; The Customer Journey and Managing Change.
