WOCC 2011 starts!

The Professional Services Team is pleased to announce the start of the 2011 to 2012 WOCC course. Congratulations to our successful 14 candidates and commiserations to those who just missed out.  If you were not successful this year, don't lose hope!

We have several training day sessions run by our excellent WOCC trainers which may be of interest.  Please take a look at our training day section to find a course that could help you.

We are taking expressions of interest in the 2012 to 2013 course.   Should demand prove strong enough we may try to run another course this year.  Please contact training@englishuk.com to register your interest in future WOCC courses.

The WOCC is a unique qualification in the ELT industry for student welfare and accommodation professionals. It is suitable both for experienced and inexperienced practitioners.

WOCC assessment and course structure

The course combines self-study with seven face-to-face sessions. It is highly practical, and is delivered in a task-based format to cover all aspects of welfare. The qualification is coursework assessed, and a comprehensive distance learning pack covers all of the course topics. The tutors, Ulla Holmer and Diane Phillips, provide participants with a high level of personalised support during training day sessions and through a tutorial visit to your own place of work. The Welfare Officers' Certificate Course is highly respected in the UK ELT sector and has a proven track record of success.

WOCC modules include:

Working Effectively within the Organisation; Organising Student Accomodation; Managing Student Accomodation; Care of Juniors; Welfare and Student Services; Legal Responsibilities; Customer Service.
