Are your team brilliant at agent workshops, advertising and brochures, but less confident around websites, social media and email? Want to bring your centre's marketing into the digital age? Then they need to join our next Digital Bootcamp course, being held in Manchester on 6 and 7 December.

The two-day course is specifically aimed at ELT centres, and supports both seasoned marketing staff who are less experienced at working digitally, and less experienced staff who may be more comfortable with social media and other online communication. It is run by Richard Bradford of Disquiet Dog, which specialises in both ELT and digital communication.

Jodie Gray, English UK's Head of Market Development, said: "We've got amazing feedback from the first course and we believe this really meets a need in our industry. We're delighted to be running the course again, and we'd really urge centres to book a place to take advantage of this."

The Digital Bootcamp is jointly arranged with the British Council, and destination promotion manager Tom Poole sat in on the sessions. He said: "It was fantastic. I was really impressed with the delivery and the feedback has been excellent.

"It was useful to have a specific ELT focus and the practical stuff on channels and planning content was excellent, as was the handbook which was a real tome."

Tom says the mix in the class included long-term staff members with lots of industry experience, and newer ones more familiar with social media, so there was plenty of sharing knowledge and skills.

"It's perfect for people who are really experienced at marketing but might not have all the digital skills they need now. In an increasingly competitive global industry it's not really possible for centres to get an agency in to do a root and branch review of their website and digital marketing, and this gives marketing staff themselves the tools to make significant improvements, not just to website content, look and feel, but also other digital channels."

Feedback from participants on the London course was good, with everyone giving the maximum five stars and, overall 9.5 out of 10 would recommend the course to others. One said: "Get on and book. Really useful and practical advice and given in a way that makes it easy to see how valuable it is."

Another commented: "It's been a really useful and productive two days with two trainers who could not have been more helpful and supportive. It was excellent that Richard has an EFL background and so understands the industry. Has given me lots to think about and lots to do and given focus to what we need to do over the coming months."
