Description of centre

Perth College UHI is situated in a lovely green campus in the city of Perth, which is right in the heart of Scotland. Perth is a small, friendly and safe city with great facilities for sport and leisure and excellent transport links, not just across Scotland, but to the whole of the UK.

The Language School at Perth College UHI prepares students for everyday life, work and study situations. Students have all the benefits of attending a College of Further and Higher Education, with a raft of support systems available to help with every aspect of their course and life in Perth. Campus facilities include a well-stocked and equipped study centre with a library and computer suite, cafes in each building, a small shop, and a Students' Association and Union area in the centre of the campus.

In July and August we run a summer school with a full programme of excursions and leisure activities as well as tuition. This introduces our students to some of the beautiful landscapes of Scotland, important historical sites, and nearby cities such as Stirling, Dundee, Glasgow and Edinburgh.

Our Academic Year (September-June) programme offers students the opportunity to sit Cambridge ESOL examinations in June. Students who are successful in English Language can progress to courses for Higher National or degree qualifications in other subjects.

Longer-term students may be able to find part-time work to help support themselves in the thriving local tourism, leisure and food industries.
