ELT Management and Practice Conference 2007 Round Up
This year’s Management and Practice Conference held at the Old Trafford Cricket ground in Manchester attracted 82 delegates (up from the previous year) with a particularly strong showing from our members and candidate centres in Manchester and the North. Delegates also travelled from various parts of the country including Perth and Plymouth.
98% of the 43 respondents who completed feedback forms stated that they would recommend the event to a colleague. In addition to the input from the expert field of speakers that included: David Crystal, Mario Rinvolucri, George Pickering and Liam Brown, delegates also particularly enjoyed the memorable atmosphere created by the venue having access to the historic Long Room, Library (piled high with Wisden Manuals) and the Committee Room. Several delegates remarked that they had left the event, ‘energized and driven to instigate change,’ and that the conference was a, ‘very interesting, motivating and encouraging event’.
