ENGLISH UK TEACHERS’ CONFERENCE Prospero House, London 2007

English UK is now accepting proposals for workshops and presentations for the annual Teachers’ Conference which takes place in London on Saturday, 17th November 2007. 

Application Deadline: Monday, 16th July 2007

Please include a 150-200 word outline about your interactive workshop, your contact details and biographical information (max. 100 words) in the body of an email entitled: Teachers Conference and send it to training@englishuk.com

Proposals will be evaluated by the organizers of the conference and presenters will be informed if they have been successful by Monday, 30th July 2007. Please note that presenters will benefit from free attendance at the conference and any travel expenses will be covered.

This year’s Management and Practice Conference held at the Old Trafford Cricket ground in Manchester attracted 82 delegates (up from the previous year) with a particularly strong showing from our members and candidate centres in Manchester and the North. English UK was commended in a debate in the House of Lords on Tuesday following a question from Lord Quirk asking the Government whether, in view of the Audit Commission report of January 2007, Crossing Borders, they will ensure good provision of English language teaching for immigrant workers.
