The Business and Specialist English Conference 2018
Saturday 9 June | 11:00 to 17:00
International House London
The Business and Specialist English Conference is designed for academic managers and trainers who specialise in the world of business English and/or English for special purposes.
Plenary speaker, author and trainer Mike Hogan of York Associates will explore the key principles of service design thinking and consider how we can apply them to ELT. He'll consider how we can design better courses and lessons with more relevance; better engagement; individualisation of learning processes with content that specifically focuses on current learning contexts; and ongoing changes in the learning environment.
Come along for a variety of sessions on delivering business English training and English for special purposes. The one-day event costs £80 for English UK member centres.
Last year, Bob Dignen of York Associates urged the audience to concentrate on what will help clients work in English, as opposed to working on the client's English, and other topics included using not being an expert in a specialist areas, online tuition and the digital age. read more +
