Every centre wants to be inclusive, but advice on identifying and responding to students with specific learning and/or behavioural differences can be hard to find.
Inclusive Classrooms – organised in partnership with IATEFL's Inclusive Practices and Special Educational Needs Special Interest Group – provided expert guidance to English language teachers on incorporating these differences into their classroom practice and centre environment. Participants were also able to network and share best practice throughout the day.
"Our speakers did a fantastic job, covering everything from inclusivity in classrooms to meeting specific needs, such as those of sight-impaired students – we even had a guide dog among our participants"
- Tom Weatherley, English UK Conference Producer
The conference included:
What did our delegates think?
- "I left feeling really empowered that I could make a difference within my organisation." - Mel Judge, Stafford House International
- "A very interesting event. Very interesting content that provoked a lot of discussion and very entertaining speakers." - Robert Gibson, Colchester Institute
- "The event was well-paced and informative; the Q&A panel was great!" - Gabriella Petrillo, Angle Education
