2016 is the 400th anniversary of Shakespeare's death. It is being marked by Shakespeare Lives, a global celebration of Shakespeare's influence on culture and languages. As part of this campaign, English UK are running a high profile competition in Spanish speaking Latin America, promoting the UK as the premier English language learning destination. For the chance to win a three-week trip to study English in the UK, students just have to make a one-minute video about Shakespeare, inspiring other English learners to discover Shakespeare for themselves. How they do this is completely up to them, so we expect to see a wide variety of exciting and creative content. The nine lucky winners (all aged 18 or over) will then travel to different English language teaching centres located across the UK to study English and document their experience in the UK. Their user-generated content will be shared via social media, email lists and travel bloggers.
