Partner Agency interview - Lawrence Morello from the USA

As the Partner Agency Scheme grows, we thought you'd like to find out a little more about our recognised partner agencies.

In this issue of the English UK Newsflash, our guest is Lawrence Morello. Lawrence owns All About Languages an agency based in New Jersey, USA, and works for students from Northern, Central and South America and Spain, helping them to find the right course and accommodation.

Hello Lawrence. Tell us how your agency started.

We've been in business since 2009. I was owner of another company previously doing same thing, and I sold that company and started All About Languages which is completely dedicated to study abroad. The previous agency was about studying abroad with some teaching in Madrid. Now we can focus completely on study abroad. It's the bit of business I like best.

We're based in New York, we have a small office in Spain and we also have small office in San Diego.

What do you like best about being an agent?

It's a good business. It allows me to travel and do nice things with people and meet nice people. It's the aspect I always like.

I like travel: that's a perk, I would say. I like the business. We're providing a special opportunity to people in their lives to travel and have a nice experience and to learn a language at the same time.

What does your agency specialise in?

We send students all over the world. A lot of our students are from Spain and so I would say we send more students to European countries and the UK because it's closer in general. We also send students from the US to Spanish speaking countries. We promote ourselves to the Spanish speaking market in general and English speaking market in the US and Canada, and promote a range of clients. We have websites in Spanish and English.

Why did you want to become a Englidh UK partner agency?

I become a partner agency because I thought it would offer our agency more recognition in the industry and show that we are a strong agency.

We joined in 2011.

Has it been useful?

It's been good. We have a lot of partners which are English UK members, so it brings us a little closer. It says our company is legitimate. I think students notice it, schools also notice it. It is definitely useful.
