1. Immigration Bill 2015
The Immigration Bill 2015 was laid in Parliament on 17 September. It relates more to migrants who do not have permission to remain in the UK. A summary of the main points has been produced. English UK will monitor the progress of the Bill through Parliament and make representations as and when necessary.
2. Immigration rule changes
The next set of rule changes is planned to be announced in Parliament on 22 October. Following a commitment announced this summer by the government to tighten the visa rules, the Home Office are currently reviewing the language requirement for Tier 4 visas, amongst other changes. English UK is making representations and nothing has been finalised as yet. We would welcome comments from members, please send your thoughts to firstname.lastname@example.org
English UK are also making representations on the financial audit criterion for ISI inspection.
3. Immigration training days provided by UKCISA
