Description of centre

King’s College Saint Michaels (KCSM) is a British international boarding school which welcomes students aged 10-18 years from all over the world. KCSM provides short and long-term Secondary education, as well as Summer Camps during July and August.
The school forms part of the highly reputable educational organisation; King’s Group, which currently owns and operates 9 schools across 4 different countries, as well as a Multi-Academy Trust which presently manages 4 Academies across the UK.

KCSM is a school steeped in history, set on 10 hectares of picturesque countryside; it was originally built in 1856. Residential or host family accommodation is available at KCSM. The school is located in the friendly, tranquil town of Tenbury Wells, which is just a short distance from major cities such as Birmingham, thus creating an ideal location for both study and social activities.

English Language Development

The school is accredited by the British Council for the Teaching of English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) and subsequently all subjects are taught in English. Students are supported through the Cambridge English assessment and IELTS qualifications, leaving them with a highly recognisable qualification in English Language.

Our carefully planned British curriculum and up to 10 additional classes of English support per week are extremely important in developing international students’ English Language skills, with the aim of supporting students through their English secondary qualifications and giving them the confidence to access the top universities in the UK and beyond. Former alumni have recently gone on to attend Russell Group universities in the UK, as well as Harvard in the United States.

Personal Focus

An education at KCSM nurtures individual growth, while ensuring that parents are constantly kept well informed of their child’s progress. Class sizes are very small, consisting of on average 10 pupils. All students are assigned a personal tutor who supports them throughout their time at KCSM, whether it be university application guidance or personal queries. Our boarding house parents and on-campus medical care are also on hand to ensure students have a healthy, happy time at KCSM.
