Description of centre

Eagle International School was established in 1973 and all Courses remain under the personal direction of the Owner Principals Joan and Dick Rees. We are Accredited by British Council.
This small privately owned school, has a long history of providing high quality Language and Activity Courses for Young Learners, in the
11 - 17 year age range.
The school is situated at Ashley Cross, Lower Parkstone, a quiet residential suburb of Poole, on the English South Coast, close to Poole Park, Poole Quay and the sandy beaches of the Sandbanks Peninsula.
Students will receive 15 hours of English Language Tuition per week with a well planned Activity Programme of Cultural Excursions and Sports Activities.
Our exciting, practical, English Course is intended to stimulate interest and develop fluency in English, through a wide range of classroom activities. Confidence and understanding develop, through lessons which have been planned to encourage 'Spoken English'. Through role play, drama, literature, guided dialogues, texts and exercises, students are encouraged to speak English in well structured, practical situations. The Summer Course is designed to provide a balance between Language Classes, Sports and Excursions. Students have the opportunity to learn the English language it its own cultural setting.

The full and varied Activity Programme, of cultural visits and sports activities is included in the Course Price. The Programme has been carefully planned by the Principals, who have over the years liaised with overseas teachers, to develop a structured Leisure Programme suitable for Young Learners.

All students live in carefully selected homestay accommodation, we are in the enviable position of being located in a residential area so that many of our Host Families are within walking distance of the school or students can be transferred daily to school, by private coach, from local pick up points and taken back in the evenings.
