English UK's quarterly student statistics scheme

QUIC, our Quarterly Intelligence Cohort, is the ELT industry's most detailed and regular student statistics scheme.

QUIC provides participating member centres with exclusive market data four times a year. Participating centres receive in-depth analysis to help them identify new market opportunities, plan business development strategies, and benchmark their centre's performance. All insights are released within eight weeks of the end of each quarter.

With just under 60% of members' total student weeks represented in the cohort, QUIC clearly indicates what's happening in UK ELT.

All English UK members receive an executive summary, but only those participating in QUIC receive the detailed analysis, including complete reports, datasets, and webinars.

How to join the QUIC cohort?

Your centre must be an English UK member to join QUIC. 

New participants can sign up each year. The first set of quarterly data is due in April. English UK member centres join the QUIC cohort on an annual rolling basis. Renewal is automatic.

Is there a cost to join QUIC?

A small annual fee covers the cost of data analysis and the production of reports and data sets. The QUIC scheme is run on a cost-recovery basis.

2026 QUIC fees

  • £305 + VAT 

2026 QUIC fees for groups:

  • £305 + VAT for the first language centre
  • £60 + VAT for each additional centre
  • Group QUIC subscription fees are capped at £545 + VAT per group

Example: a group with three centres will pay: £305 + (2 x £60) = £425 + VAT

What data is needed?

Members must provide student week data split by:

  • source market
  • age group
  • course type
  • group vs individual bookings
  • agent vs direct bookings

Example submission form and submission guidelines:

 2026 reporting periods and submission deadlines:
  • Q1 (29 December 2025 - 29 March 2026): by Tuesday 14 April 2026
  • Q2 (30 March - 28 June): by Friday 10 July 2026
  • Q3 (29 June - 27 September): by Friday 9 October 2026
  • Q4 (28 September - 3 January 2027): by Friday 15 January 2027
