Description of centre

St. Clare’s, Oxford is different in so many ways. It is an educational charity now celebrating its 60th Anniversary; it occupies 28 large buildings in North Oxford; and it offers an unparalleled range of courses throughout the year and during the summer.

From September to June, St. Clare’s offers six main courses for students aged 17+:
• English for Everyday Use
• English for Examinations
• English Combination
• Personal Language training
• English plus Academic Subjects
• University Foundation Course

During summer, St. Clare’s offers different courses for different age groups:
• Summer Courses for 18+
• Summer Courses for teenagers (15-17)
• Summer & Activities Courses for Juniors (10-15)

Oxford itself is a great location at any time of year. The colleges and the university are world famous, of course, and there is a range of cultural, social and sporting opportunities within the city. In addition, Oxford is close to London, the airports and many local places of interest (Windsor Castle, Stonehenge, Stratford-upon-Avon, Blenheim Palace).

‘Internationalism’ is at the heart of everything we do at St. Clare’s: in fact it has been our mission for over 60 years - ‘to advance international education and understanding’. Students from as many as 50 different nationalities live together in our residences and study together on our programmes.

Students can be confident of the benefits of study at St. Clare’s - every course will help improve their skills for college, for university, for career and for life!
