Newcastle is in the North of England near Scotland, so the school offers some wonderful excursions to Edinburgh, York, Durham and the famous Castles of Northumbria. Newcastle is well-known for its exciting night-life and we offer a full social programme every week.

International House Newcastle English language school is in the heart of the city. it has 16 classrooms and a large Personal Study Programme suite. We also have an executive centre for one to one and small group classes.

The building is a grade 1 and grade 2 listed building, which means it is protected as a building of historical interest. In fact you can see part of the ancient city walls in our student cafe. International House Newcastle has a very popular international cafe serving hot and cold drinks, meals and snacks. This huge space is also used for social activities and parties.

IH Newcastle offers English for specific purposes starting any Monday in our Personal Study Programmes (PSP). Using resources from Netlanguages, Harvard Business school, LearnDirect and International House Campus, we design an individualised programme for clients from architects to doctors to accountants, starting any Monday. A very popular part of these courses, and included in the price, are the mini one-to-one sessions that PSP students can book in advance with teachers.

English plus internships for EU and accession state students is a popular option, and we also offer teacher training courses for English and CLIL teachers from all over the world.

International House has 109 bedrooms in self-catering apartments at Charlotte House, 5 minutes' walk from the school where students can have independence and mix with other international students. We also have over 200 rooms with homestay hosts, so we are able to meet various student expectations
