ILC Colchester is one of six schools within the ILC International Language Centres group.

The Colchester school was established in 1969, in Colchester – famous for being Britain’s oldest recorded town.

ILC provides high-quality language courses and excellent customer service in a variety of attractive locations. We have great residential and non-residential summer schools, flexible year round young learner mini-break programmes and a strong general English and academic pathway programme.

The Centre is open all year round for adult students aged 16 and over. ILC also runs closed group courses for students aged 11 – 17.

By living with one of our carefully selected friendly and welcoming homestay providers, students will learn more about British life as well as improving their speaking and listening skills. This provides an important cultural immersion experience.

The Centre is easily accessible from London airports and is only 50 minutes by train to London. This enables us to offer students a genuinely British cultural experience without distraction during their studies, yet also provides an opportunity for them to travel easily to England’s capital, making us a popular base for international students.
