ELT staff shortage survey - understanding the scope of the problem

We are increasingly hearing from members about serious staff shortages which we fear may stall UK ELT's recovery over the coming months. We are prioritising this issue and urge every member centre to complete a survey to help give us an accurate picture of the situation.

The survey will need input from leadership and HR teams as we ask about current and pre-pandemic staff numbers by department and contract type, as well as EU/ EEA national staff numbers. 

Ideally all member centres will participate, both those who are and are not currently experiencing staff recruitment challenges.

Once we have a better understanding of the scope and scale of the problem, we will formulate and share an action plan in the coming months. 

The deadline for completion is Friday 28 January 2022.
