English UK used its presence at ICEF Berlin to support member marketing and reach out to potential new partner agencies.

We attended the event as the Government's Trade Challenge Partner, working with 15 English UK members and others whose attendance was subsidised by the Tradeshow Access Programme. We also showcased UK education with an Education is GREAT village.

We set up our very popular English UK booth to reach out to priority market agents expressing high levels of interest in the Partner Agency Scheme.

Annie Wright, director of marketing, said: "We had really strong interest from agents from priority markets looking to achieve partner agency status. We had so many that not all of them could actually make appointments with us, so there's a large pile of business cards to work through.

"Boosting partner agency numbers would be beneficial for our members, so we hope as many as possible meet our criteria."

English UK was highly visible at ICEF as the Government's Trade Challenge Partner, providing marketing materials to promote around 150 UK educators at the event and working the reception desk for the Education is GREAT village.

Roz McGill, English UK's market development manager, said most of the UK educators had been keen to display the GREAT-branded marketing material.

She added: "We had great feedback from members in the village, and working as the Trade Challenge Partner meant we were able to raise the profile of English UK and the UK as a study destination."
