Inclusive classrooms: a day on specific learning differences
30 October 2017

Every centre wants to be as inclusive as possible, but advice and guidance on how best to identify and respond to students with specific learning and/or behavioural differences can be hard to find.

Inclusive classrooms is a one-day event on Wednesday 22 November for English language teachers and their managers that will provide expert guidance to help you incorporate these differences into your classroom and English language centre.

We are delighted to partner with the IATEFL Inclusive Practices and Special Education Needs Special Interest Group (IATEFL IP&SEN SIG) and other organisations offer attendees guidance, ideas and the confidence to implement them. The event will cover both classroom practice and the centre environment.

Inclusive Classrooms includes sessions on:

  • Help with identifying possible specific learning differences
  • Raising inclusiveness between students in the classroom
  • How to help students with visual and mobility impairments
  • Guidance and ideas for 'reasonable adjustments'
  • An Q&A with the speakers

Participants will also get the opportunity to network and share best practice with peers over lunch and break times. Places are £95 for English UK members and you can book online
