Monica Fuentes is a 23-year-old student from Colombia. She is studying at English UK member Shane Global in London.

What course are you taking?

I am following general English courses, and I booked for 24 weeks. I have been here for 11 weeks now and, oh my God, it’s going so fast!

Why did you choose to come to the UK?

I think it is the best place to learn English and I always wanted to go to Europe. For me it is the place to be.

What made you choose the school and city?

I wanted to go to London because it is a big city. So I did some research on Google and I found Shane Global.

I chose Shane Global because it is located near Bond Street in Central London and offered all that I wanted. It provides really good courses and its fee is reasonable and the teachers are highly qualified.

Are you enjoying your time in the UK?

Yes I am! I have met so many people of different cultures and there are so many things to do in London, the museums, the pubs, the shops, the parks…

What do you like most?

I don’t know! I really love everything in London and at Shane Global!

Has anything surprised you?

I was surprised by the mixing of cultures here. All the people are very nice and friendly.

How will learning English change your life?

In many ways, this course will lead me towards the best opportunities of my life, I mean to achieve my goals in life. It will open new horizons for me and my future jobs.

Would you recommend learning English in the UK to your friends? 

Obviously, it has been one of the best experiences in my life and everyone should know that.
