English UK's parliamentary reception will be held in the Terrace Pavilion of the House of Commons on Thursday 11 May from 13:30 - 15:30. The event is kindly hosted by Stephen Hammond, MP for Wimbledon.

This is a valuable opportunity for English UK members to meet and network with MPs, Lords and other stakeholders, to raise the profile of UK ELT and our need for policy support from government. We'll be launching our new position paper at the event.

If you're attending, please invite your MP to meet you at the reception. You can use our email template and customise it as you wish.

You can invite two MPs if you live and work in different constituencies. Make sure you include the relevant address in your email, so they'll consider the invitation.

Our annual Members' Conference & AGM takes place the following day on Friday 12 May. One free in-person place is available for every English UK member centre and corporate member. We hope that members travelling to London will be able to take advantage of both events.

Getting there

Visitors travelling on the London Underground can use the District, Circle or Jubilee lines to get to Westminster station, which is fully wheelchair accessible. 

Use Exit 4 for the Cromwell Green entrance on St Margaret Street. You can find more travel options here. 

To access the House of Commons

English UK will send all registered delegates an official e-invitation, required to access the House of Commons, the morning of Wednesday 10 May. You will need to present it along with photo ID on arrival. Contact us if you have not received your e-invitation by 15:00 on Wednesday (please check your junk/clutter folder before contacting us).

The name on your e-invitation must match the name on your photo ID.

Please allow 30 minutes to clear security on arrival.

The dress code is business wear.
