Description of centre

Personal Best International Education is part of Personal Best Education group, the business trading arm of the Mountbatten School.
We offer a range of year-round programmes for groups and a Summer School with a difference, integrating international and British students into academic subject lessons taught by our qualified secondary school teachers with input from English Language specialists.
Our aim is to equip young people with the necessary knowledge and skills, through inter-cultural learning and collaboration, to be successful future citizens who make a positive impact on the future world.
All programmes take place at The Mountbatten School campus located in Romsey, a historical market town about an hour from Heathrow Airport, which offers impressive facilities such as an FA approved 3G Football pitch, tennis/basketball/other sports, music/drama/dance studio, IT suite, modern classrooms and business-style training rooms. Our residence at The Mountbatten School offers an enclosed and safe environment.
On our International Summer School programme, ‘Future World Citizens’, students explore STEM and Business subject areas to develop their curiosity and problem-solving skills in investigating strategies to promote sustainable development in real-world contexts and be introduced to basic business concepts to develop vital future world skills. Students will work collaboratively in groups of 10 (max 8 international) with 2 UK students from The Mountbatten School per class. In addition, we provide a varied and structured multi-activity programme delivered by qualified sports coaches and activity leaders along with excursions and study tours.
Our CLIL methodology means that students simultaneously learn an academic subject/theme whilst significantly improving English language acquisition. Students work together on interactive and engaging, enquiry-based projects.
Our year-round programmes for groups include a range of tailored options including lessons on STEM, Business and English for specific purposes as well as part-integration in UK Curriculum lessons at the Mountbatten School. Furthermore, specialist activities such as Sports, Laser Tag, VR, Bushcraft and much more as well as a range of excursions and study tours are available.
