As the Partner Agency Scheme grows, we thought you'd like to find out a little more about our recognised partner agencies...

Svetlana Semichastnaya from Elbrus-Education

Featured this month is Svetlana Semichastnaya founded Elbrus-Education in 2001, and based it in Chelyabinsk, Russia. Her agency became and English UK Partner Agency in 2013 and finds it a great benefit.

Hello Svetlana. Tell us about how you became an agent.

Education is important to me. I have taught, worked with the international consultancy programme and then, 14 years ago, I set up own agency called Elbrus Education.

Elbrus is the highest mountain in the Caucasians. Our logo shows Elburs' two peaks: one peak for learning English, achieving Ielts, A Level then a British University BA first degree; the second peak is about a Masters degrees or even a PhD.

Our slogan is 'make it to the top'.

What kind of work do you do?

Our focus is on the individual. If student really wants to learn a language they should concentrate on learning English and more can be achieved if more immersion is possible.

We send students to English speaking countries and work with Switzerland for private boarding schools.

But English in the UK is my number 1: where else can you learn 'Received Pronunciation'?

What's the best thing about your job?

The feedback from the students and their success.

We've had quite a number of successes, many students graduate from university in the UK and return to find a very good job and are doing very well with very warm memories of their time.

What made you join the partner agency scheme?

I decided to join after seeing a presentation on all the benefits of the scheme during an English UK inward mission to South East England.

By that time I met the entry criteria, I love this country and want to promote Britain, and think it is very good that we decided to join. It's a great benefit, it's on our logo and because we get the English UK newsletter update for news.

Would you recommend the partner agency scheme?

Of course. You can really benefit from it.
