Tender invitation: summer study in the UK programme for Japanese high school students
16 November 2015

The British Council Japan is delighted to announce that they are launching the Summer English Language Study in the UK Programme targeting high school students in Japan in partnership with the Japan Association of Overseas Studies (JAOS), an association of study abroad agents in Japan. They are inviting UK institutions accredited by Accreditation UK to tender to participate in this programme.

To be launched as a pilot in 2016, this programme will promote selected English language programmes provided by the Accreditation UK centres amongst high school students in Japan. It aims to send approximately 70 junior and senior high school students to 6 or 7 Accreditation UK centres to study in the UK between the end of July and middle of August 2016. The students will be sent through JAOS member agents. The centres will be selected through tendering organised by the British Council Japan in partnership with JAOS.

Further details about the programme, selection criteria and application process can be found on the British Council's Services for International Education Marketing (SIEM) website. For convenience, a copy of the invitation and application form are also  linked  to this news story.

*Please note that, if this is your first time to visit the British Council SIEM website, you will be asked to create an account (free of charge) in order to visit the web page above. All Acreditation UK centres are eligible to access the SIEM website

Closing date for tender applications: 14 December 2015
