14 June 2017

CPD for short-term staff, dealing with disruptive students, staying sane during the summer term, and many more were on the agenda during this summer school focused conference.

Delegates were treated to advice and expertise from Fiona Dunlop (Wimbledon School of English), Steve Wheeler (Trinity College London), Emma-Jayne Robinson (Macmillan Education), Heather Rhodes (BABBSCo), and Thom Jones (Summer Boarding Courses).

The event also offered a great networking opportunity for delegates, with refreshments provided throughout the day.

Max Manganello, Director at Trinity UK Summer Camps, said, ''It's a great event. It's always good to join events and get together with colleagues, and here there are so many new ideas, from the speakers and from the other participants.''

Emma-Jayne Robinson, of Macmillan Education was enthusiastic about the event. ''It's really useful to meet the people using the materials, to let them know what we are doing and how they can get the most out of their materials,'' she said.

Henry Tolley, of Trinity College London said, ''A great event, with bags of energy from speakers and attendees alike. A lot of positivity around this event.''

English UK runs several major conferences each year as part of our work to support high standards in English language teaching, to keep members updated and share best practice.
