English UK member centres help 200+ displaced people rebuild their lives in 2023

Supporting refugees and asylum seekers with RefuAid

There are currently 355 RefuAid students learning free of charge in accredited language centres and universities. All these students are refugees or those seeking asylum in the UK.

An amazing 246 refugees and asylum seekers graduated from their English language courses in 2023 thanks to support from English UK members and RefuAid.

Enabling RefuAid students to take the next step

The students – all clients of our partner charity RefuAid – took a variety of general and specialist courses to enable them to take the next steps to continue their careers or education in the UK.

RefuAid's head of language programme Ilaria Tarulli said: "We and our clients are so grateful for the continuing support given by our language school partners. Lives are being rebuilt because of this help."
