What better way to relax after an English language class than to focus on your mind, body and spirit in some of the UK's most scenic locations?
Many language centres will be able to arrange exercise and relaxation classes for students to complement their English lessons. Here are some examples of the combined courses offered by English UK which integrate English learning with yoga practice. In general, no yoga experience is necessary, and these courses are suitable for adults with any level of English.
Nab Cottage in the Lake District offers a Holiday English Course with Yoga and Mindfulness, a two week course which combines yoga, Tai Chi and guided relaxation, practising English throughout the day through group activities.
Students can study practical and theoretical elements of yoga at Loxdale English Centre on the English plus Yoga and Yoga Philosophy course. Students learn different aspects of Yoga Philosophy theories from ancient to modern day, including Mindfulness Meditation techniques.
The English Language Centre, Eastbourne offer General English Courses plus Yoga / Natural Health. Students study English in the morning, and then chose three classes per week from Yoga, Meditation, Tai Chi and Balletcise. Each week they also receive a complimentary therapy session like massage, aromatherapy or acupuncture.
