Roz McGill, Market Development Manager
Roz is probably the best-known member of our staff, because she spent several years as our membership manager before she took on the role of market development manager, and so is a familiar face to members, corporate members and agents.
In her current role, Roz travels and works with members and agents both in the UK and around the world. She is primarily responsible for developing and organising English UK's B2B projects and events, and our quarterly intelligence scheme (QUIC). She manages the operations, logistics and delivery of our overseas events, inward missions, market scoping visits and market research. She has visited more than 20 countries on English UK business so far.
Prior to joining ARELS, one of English UK's predecessor organisations, in 2003, Roz volunteered for a year at a secondary school in the Gambia, worked as an ELT language assistant in Japan and, after gaining her Cert TESOL, taught in private language schools in Russia and the UK.
Roz has a degree in Geography and Development Studies from the University of Exeter.
