Marek Kiczkowiak at BASE Conference 2018
30 May 2018

We are pleased to announce that Marek Kiczkowiak will be closing the English UK Business and Specialist English Conference on  Saturday 9 June at International House, London.

Marek's talk, How to Create Materials and Lesson Plans for Business English as a Lingua Franca will advise delegates on how to adapt materials to better suit students' needs of communication with other non-native speakers.

Marek spoke to IATEFL online recently and outlined his work on raising awareness of native speakerism with employers, teacher training organisations and customers.

"I am delighted to have Marek on the programme closing the conference. Preparing students for non-native-to-non-native speaker interactions is a key topic, perhaps especially important for those who are learning English for their future work and professional development.

In Marek we've got one of the foremost experts in this area. With Mike Hogan opening, I feel we've got an extremely strong programme coming together and we'll be releasing more details soon."
                                                                                    Tom Weatherley, Conference Producer

The event runs from 10:30 to 18:30 and includes lunch, refreshments and a networking drinks reception. Places are only £80 to English UK member centre members.
