English UK international phone card launched – helping students stay in touch for less
24 September 2009

English UK’s new phonecard should make life easier for language centres and students alike.

The card, which was officially launched at StudyWorld London 2009, costs just £5 and will be available for English UK member centres to sell to their students.

Backed by English UK, the card is supplied by GSM International which specialises in the meeting the communication needs of international students.

Marco Travaglia, Managing Director of GSM International, said the card would be particularly useful for students on short courses. “If they are only here for a short time, then there is no point in them getting a new SIM card for their mobiles. These cards mean you don’t need a mobile. They can be used from any UK landline phone, including those in the homes of host families."
