Does UKVI keep you awake at night? Sleep easy, with help from our specialist Annual Conference sessions
20 April 2015

If there's one thing that keeps language school managers awake at night, it's worries about compliance with ever-changing visa regulations.

Solicitor Nichola Carter is one of the UK's leading experts on these, and she's running a session at our Annual Conference in Manchester in May, which promises to be packed full of advice on the pitfalls to avoid - and what to do if you do run into problems.

She says: "Regardless of whether members are relying on Tier 4 to sponsor students or use the Short Term Study route, keeping on the right side of UKVI is essential.

"English language colleges that have fallen foul of the rules generally share a common weakness – flawed recruitment processes.

"This session will examine best practice on recruitment and other key compliance areas and tactics that can deployed if weaknesses are discovered."

The English UK Annual Conference & AGM is being held from lunchtime on Monday 11 May to 5pm on Tuesday 12 May. Other sessions include an extended AGM and chance to debate English UK's future strategy, feedback from our first-ever membership survey, an introduction to our new public affairs experts, a specialist market session on Asia, and the latest information on visas, distance selling regulations, young learners and much more.

Find out more and book your place at the English UK Annual Conference & AGM 2015.
