Teachers’ Conference – New speakers added
18 October 2012

We are pleased to announce that a further two speakers have been added to the programme for the ELT Teachers' Conference taking place on Saturday 10 November in London.

Mike McCarthy will discuss listening in his seminar 'Listeners and good listenership: towards a grammar of response' looking at corpus evidence for how listeners engage with speakers and use a repertoire of strategies for showing involvement and empathy with their fellow-speakers.

In addition to this Jane Allemano's session 'Don't go (over) changing' will focus on the typical difficulties and mistakes made by students when preparing for and taking the Cambridge English: First Use of English paper. The session will be hands on and interactive, and will suggest teaching tips and practical ideas to use in the classroom.

The addition of these two sessions takes the total number on the programme to 28, with two of the elective slots offering delegates a record of nine elective sessions to choose from.
