UKCE London is the most centrally located British Council accredited school in London. We deliver pure and combined English Language training from our 55, Oxford Street location. Fully refurbished in 2017, with air-conditioning in every room, wi-fi throughout and less than 2 minutes’ walk from Tottenham Court Road tube station – there couldn’t be a better place to study in all of London.
Our programmes cover exam preparation, General English and more work specific courses. In 2019 we are launching specific English for the digital age – content writing; brand management; presentation skills and social networking. We are also partnering with the Digital Marketing Institute to deliver a new programme leading to the Digital marketing Associate Certificate. We are also widely recognised by our students for our one-to-one lesson scheme – with over 1,000 hours of private classes in the last year alone.
Our location and our flexible timetabling system mean that we attract a wide range of different nationalities to the centre – in the last year students from 70 different countries studied with us. And they enjoyed it – giving us a Net Promoter Score of 32 against a global benchmark of 10.
We assist our clients with their accommodation requirements from the traditional host family to high end residential accommodation. We are also part of a government scheme that allows students studying for 14 weeks or more to get a 30% discount on London Transport.
Our trainers have a great deal of experience with more than 200 years of teaching behind them as a group. We only use native speaker trainers as we believe that gives our clients the best modelling for their pronunciation and intonation.
Learning doesn’t stop with end of formal classes – we run an extracurricular programme designed not only to help student experience life and leisure in the UK, but also arranged to ensure students benefit from what living in London has to offer. We support the career ambitions of our students by running c.v. workshops, free courses in interview skills and offering on-site university fairs so that students can benefit from talking directly to their potential future university.
