Description of centre
Founded by Sherborne School in 1977, Sherborne International educates girls and boys aged 8-17 from all over the world, preparing them for the best possible British education. A small school of 140 pupils with over 30 nationalities, we have successfully placed thousands of students at the UK’s elite boarding schools.
With our in-depth understanding of international students’ needs and very small class sizes (6-8 students), we provide a high quality, personalised learning experience, covering academic, linguistic and cultural education. All our teachers are qualified or trained to teach English as well as their specialist subject which enables the students English to progress at a rapid rate.
Sherborne International is in the beautiful, historic town of Sherborne, South West England (2 hours from London).
It has impressive sporting and musical facilities, including a 25-metre swimming pool, fitness centre, tennis courts, dance studio, sports hall and sports fields.
We offer a range of courses for international students with an academic focus on improving English and knowledge of subjects.
Our School term courses are for students aged 11-17 and include junior preparation based on the national curriculum, pre-I/GCSE and I/GCSE courses and a Pre-Sixth Form Course. Students on our school term courses typically stay here for between one term and three years.
Our Summer School Courses are for international students aged 8-17. The courses are intensive and academic with an extensive choice of sports, activities and excursions.
Girls and boys live in separate houses and most have a single or double bedroom some with en-suite facilities. We aim to ensure students sharing speak a different language.
