Description of centre Bede’s Summer School, part of St Bede’s School Trust, has been running high-quality residential programmes since 1993. Today, Bede’s offers 13 different types of programmes at 5 locations. English Courses Bede's Summer School courses, for students aged from 6 to 20 years, runs in 5 centres (Eastbourne, Windlesham, Dicker, Lancing and Brighton). In the morning, students typically have English Lessons with 17.5 to 25 hours of English per week in groups of 14 students maximum per class. In the afternoons, students take part in a variety of activities including sports, art, creative, outdoor pursuits with a full programme of entertainment in the evening and up to 3 excursions per week. Optional Academies are available subject to availability. Sports and Adventure Academies include Clay Pigeon Shooting, E-Kart Racing, Flying, Golf, Horse Riding, Indoor Climbing, Padel, Sailing, Swimming, Tennis and Zookeeper Experience. Academic Academies include: Conversation Confidence, Critical Thinking, Essay Writing, Psychology and Public Speaking. Creative Academies include: Film & Animation, LEGO & Coding, Masterchef and Pottery & Ceramics. Students accommodation is on campus for residential students. We offer a Day option at all of our centres and a Parent Programme for parents of Little Explorers at Eastbourne. At Bede's, Cambridge exams B1 Preliminary, B2 First and C1 Advanced, and IELTS exam preparation courses are available in Lancing and Brighton. Specialist Courses in Pro Dance, Pro Tennis, Pro Music, Zoology & Animal Management, LALIGA Football Camps UK, Bear Grylls Adventure Camp and Business Leadership are available and combine learning English with specialist tuition in Dance, Tennis, Music, Zoology, Football, Survival Skills and Business respectively. Return transfers from London Gatwick, Heathrow and London City Airports and St Pancras International Train Station are included in the price of the residential course.
