Description of centre

At the University Centre for Academic English, we specialise in academic and general English language courses and have decades of experience helping students succeed. Each year, around 2,000 students from across the globe join our full-time academic English courses, benefiting from our expertise and world-class teaching.
Our courses are fully accredited by the British Council, and our Pre-sessional English courses hold additional accreditation from BALEAP (British Association of Lecturers in English for Academic Purposes). We’re proud to be ranked joint number one university language centre in the UK by the EL Gazette University Language Centre rankings (2019–2025) - a testament to our team’s hard work and dedication.
