Description of centre
Broadstairs English Centre is an independent English language school located in Broadstairs, a safe and welcoming seaside town on the Kent coast, close to Canterbury and within easy reach of London. The town offers an ideal environment for young learners, combining traditional British character, sandy beaches and a friendly local community.
BEC specialises in programmes for school groups, young learners and teenagers, generally aged 10–17, with selected options available for younger students. Courses include General English ministays, summer camps, school immersion, Discovery Week, Business English, specialist subjects such as Geography, History, Biology and Business, and preparation for Cambridge, Trinity and IELTS examinations. Programmes can be tailored to suit the group’s age, level, learning objectives and length of stay.
Students can choose between carefully selected homestay accommodation, offering an authentic experience of British family life, and residential accommodation with full-board catering. Programmes normally combine English lessons with cultural visits, sports, evening activities and excursions to destinations such as Canterbury, London and other places of interest in Kent.
