Annual General Meeting

The English UK Annual General Meeting (AGM) takes place every year in May.

The AGM is open to English UK language centre members only. It is an opportunity for the English UK team, board and membership to come together and discuss the future direction of the association.

We are working hard to reduce waste so no paper copies of the agenda or any papers will be provided at the meeting.

Venue and travel information

The English UK Members' Conference and AGM 2026 will be held in London at the Hilton London Canary Wharf, just 30 minutes or less from Kings Cross, Victoria, Waterloo and London Bridge.

Venue address

Hilton London Canary Wharf
South Quay Square
Marsh Wall
London E14 9SH

How to reach the venue

The Members' Conference is easy to reach by public transport. There are also a number of city bike stations within a 5 minute walking distance from the venue – view the London bike share website for details.

The nearest stations are:

  • Canary Wharf Underground – 5 mins' walk
  • Canary Wharf Elizabeth Line – 14 mins' walk
  • South Quay DLR – 4 mins' walk

The nearest bus stop is:

  • Admirals's Way

If you are arriving from Canary Wharf station, the best exit is Jubilee Plaza. From the exit, head south and through the building, 35 Bank Street (look for the Obicà sign), to get to South Quay Footbridge. Cross the bridge, turn left down South Quay Walk and then take the first right. This will lead you to Admirals Way, the hotel is just further down that road.

Attending online

The English UK Members' Conference and AGM is a hybrid event. This means we will have delegates attending both in-person at the venue and online from across the country.

Joining sessions online

All sessions will take place using Zoom Webinar or Zoom Meeting. You will receive the Zoom links to the sessions by email at least two days before the conference.

In order for the team to monitor attendance and to prevent any security breaches, we will require you to register your attendance for selected sessions in advance. Please use the name you used to register for the event.

Please do not pass the Zoom links to a colleague. If a colleague wishes to attend the event they will need to register.

Joining the AGM online

If you are attending the AGM digitally, please join the five minutes' before the start time (11:55) and add your 'name, centre name and member number' to your Zoom name.

Your Zoom name should look like this:

  • Joe Bloggs, Your School of English, 789

If you wish to speak during the AGM or the debate, use the 'Raise hand' function in Zoom and wait to be called upon. You may have your video on.

Please use Zoom's Chat function to communicate with English UK, but do not submit questions using this feature.

Recording and sharing

The English UK Members' Conference 2026 will be recorded and shared following the event.

Please do not record the sessions and respect the privacy of audience members if you use screenshots on social media or other publicity - use images that only show presenters' faces and names

You can find all English UK event and webinar recordings in our resources area. Please note, many of these are available to members only.

Let your network know you're coming to the Members' Conference

We have prepared a range of visuals that you can share on social media or add to your email signature to promote your attendance.

The editable visuals are ppt files: Download the file, follow the instructions on the first slide, and export your customised slide as a JPEG or PNG ready for posting.

The portrait visuals work best on Instagram and the landscape versions are better for LinkedIn. Don't forget to tag English UK on LinkedIn or @studyenglishuk on Instagram.
