English UK Parliamentary Reception

Wednesday 20 May 2026
House of Commons, 13:30 - 16:00

Join fellow English UK members and leaders from across the UK ELT community for a unique opportunity to step inside the Palace of Westminster and connect directly with MPs, Lords and other key decision-makers. This critical event is your chance to raise the visibility of our sector, highlight its vital contribution to the UK, and make the case for the policy support we need to thrive.

This year, we unveiled brand-new economic impact data demonstrating the scale of ELT's value to the UK, alongside our latest position paper. The findings are clear: with just a few simple policy shifts, ELT could make an even fuller contribution to the UK, benefitting students, communities, and the national economy.

We are delighted to have Baroness Prashar as our host for our 2026 Parliamentary Reception, ensuring the voice of ELT is heard at the very heart of government.

Our annual Members' Conference & AGM will be held the following day, on Thursday 21 May.
