Business English Trainers’ Conference – Only One Week Left to Book
30 April 2009

Saturday 9th May, 2009, International House London

There is now just over one week to book your place at the Business English Trainers' Conference, run in association with Business English UK, being held at International House London on Saturday 9th May.

This year's event welcomes Richard Lewis to speak on the subject of 'Teaching Business English with a Cultural Component'. Richard is the author of the book, 'When Cultures Collide', which has sold over 100,000 copies and won the prestigious US Executive Club Book award in 1997. He currently lectures throughout the world on cross-cultural issues. The programme features a host of expert speakers including Mark Powell, who is one of the world's leading Business English communications trainers and also a published author; and Paul Emmerson, who gives regular presentations at ELT conferences all over the world on teaching methodology for Business English.

The growth in professional English has been steady over the past few years and this event is an important step towards providing more professional development opportunities in this sector. This conference will focus on the latest issues connected with professional English course delivery and is designed for academic managers and teachers who either specialise in or have some involvement in the delivery of business English exams, general business English training and ESP courses. This year attendance at the conference is being opened up to international delegates for the first time.

To Book: A copy of the programme and booking form are available to download from the 'conferences' tab in the training section of our website: www.englishuk.com/en/training. If you would like any further information about this event or if you have any queries please contact training@englishuk.com or call 0207 608 7960 to speak to Beth Macchi.
