English UK Board get first look at StudyWorld 2026 venue

Brighton was the venue for the English UK board's September meeting, chosen so they could look round the hotel hosting our next UK based StudyWorld.

Tregarran Percival, English UK trustee and chair of the Enterprises board which runs StudyWorld, said: "It's great to be back in Brighton and this is a great venue for StudyWorld. It's an excellent space, right on the seafront with great national and international transport links." Before being rebranded as StudyWorld and moving to London in 2008, the event was held for many years at what was then called the Brighton Metropole Hotel. Brighton's StudyWorld will be held on 26-28 January 2026.

Trustees also invited local English UK member centres to join them for refreshments at the hotel after the meeting and over ten people from seven centres chose to attend. An English UK South East regional group is finally being created, with its inaugural meeting in Eastbourne later in September, and one thing members were keen to discuss with the Trustees was the possibility of a local StudyWorld fam trip.

One extra guest joined for part of the day – chief executive Jodie Gray's new baby daughter, born earlier in the summer. Jodie is using KIT (keeping in touch) days so she can join board meetings while on maternity leave.
