It has been a real pleasure over the last two months to meet so many of you around the country as we travelled on our roadshow - many familiar faces and some new ones. We all enjoyed the opportunity to catch up with you, to hear what is going well and to listen to common concerns.
Now in the second year of our three-year strategic plan, we were glad to give you highlights of developments so far, particularly on our ambitious data project, accreditation and professional development working groups and, of course, StudyWorld.
My script for the public affairs update changed somewhat on our travels - every time I hoped to bring clarity, I was thwarted by a development in Westminster. Our campaigning webpage is kept updated regularly with a digest of what is happening and reports from our dialogue with the Home Office as part of the White Paper consultation, which is starting positively. Our next public affairs update will be out next week.
The next opportunity to hear more and get involved will be at the English UK Annual Conference and AGM on Thursday 23 May. I hope to see even more of you there.
