English UK and the British Council held an evening launch event for three English language market reports on China, Italy and Turkey on Wednesday 19 September 2012 at The Royal Society. The evening proved popular with over 170 delegates registering to attend.

These reports are part of a new series of comprehensive market studies to be produced as a collaboration between the British Council and English UK in order to provide support for UK ELT providers in recruiting students from overseas. Focusing on key markets that are vital for the work of accredited English language teaching providers, the reports are written by market experts. The series is intended to help the sector maximise its opportunity by understanding the parameters of demand in these key markets with up-to-date data and analysis.

The launch provided English UK members and other accredited language centres with the opportunity to hear the authors summarise and discuss their findings and conclusions, and to be among the first centres to receive hard copies of the reports. The evening ended with a networking reception, complete with country-themed canopes.

An album of photos from the evening can be viewed on the English UK Facebook page.
