Training day update
9 December 2011

Several sessions have already sold out and others are filling fast, so here are the days we have coming up over the next couple of months that still have some places.

The world of internet marketing can seem daunting to the uninitiated, but it might seem a little less alien after 'Introduction to digital marketing' with Jon Aizlewood, covering email strategies, page designs and the use of mobile technology on 14 December.

Accommodation staff may like to know there are still some places on our second Managing Homestay Accommodation with Diane Philips on 20 December.

Looking to 2012, on 6 and 7 January (long enough for most hangovers to have worn off) there is a double-whammy of days covering the use of technology in the classroom. Gavin Dudeney of The Consultants –E will pass on his skills in '10 ways to integrate technology into the classroom' and 'Mobile and handheld learning.' Hosted by our friends at LSI, Hampstead, these days will be packed with hands on practical tips for teachers.

Anyone in customer service should consider Will Kinsman's day of 'How to succeed and grow in the age of the never satisfied customer' on 17 January and Helen Chambers will pass on her knowledge of 'Counselling and mentoring skills' to managers and managers-to-be on 20 January.

Jon Aizlewood will help you to reach out to customers on any continent with a half-day session of tips and advice on managing multi-lingual content on 27 January.

Our members up North might be able to avoid 'the big smoke' with two days outside of London. George Pickering will be taking his ideas on 'Putting the customer first: achieving excellent customer service' to York thanks to Melton College on 25 January, and Keith Harding will be looking at using cultural and social opportunities in teaching in Manchester on Friday 27 January with 'Where learning meets leisure.'

All details can be found on our training day page, and bookings can now be made via our online booking site
