English UK Parliamentary Reception
Details for our 2026 Parliamentary Reception to be announced
This event offers a valuable opportunity for English UK members and the wider UK ELT community to connect with MPs, Lords and other key stakeholders in the Palace of Westminster. Together, we can raise the profile of our sector and advocate for the policy support we need from the government.
This year, we launched new economic impact data outlining ELT's contribution to the UK and our latest position paper. Our position paper explained how a few simple policy changes could enable ELT to make an even fuller contribution to the UK.
Lord Aberdare kindly hosted the reception in 2025.

Parliamentary Reception 2025
In May 2025, 14 MPs and three members of the House of Lords attended the launch of our policy position paper this year, our highest level of parliamentary engagement to date. Our 2025 Members' Conference & AGM was held the following day, on Thursday 15 May, at the Hilton London Canary Wharf (and online).
