Educators have given positive feedback for this month's Asia Pacific Roadshow which introduced them to agents from South East Asia in Bangkok and from North East Asia in Osaka.

Around 20 English UK members and corporate members attended each destination, with 13 opting to meet agents in both cities. The new format has been so popular that plans are already being made for next year's event in North East Asia, possibly as a three-centre roadshow.

"Organising workshops in more than one city in this way means that our members get the chance to focus on the markets and the agents they really want to see," said Roz McGill, English UK's market development manager who led the event,

"This is a very cost and time-effective option, and we've found members love the flexibility of it."

Roz said feedback from educators had been very positive so far, particularly around agent quality and the likelihood of getting business as a result. Agents, representing five markets, also reported meeting educators they would be likely to do business with, and said they were more confident about selling the UK after the workshop.

One educator commented: "A professionally run event, less hectic than the main workshops and attracting quality agents, while another added: "A really good event, with excellent coordination by the English UK staff."

Each event included a networking dinner and agent training sessions as well as meetings.

The Asia Pacific Roadshow 2019 will run in the week commencing Sunday 25 November - immediately after the China Roadshow 2019 - and is likely to be a two or three-centre event, with details being announced soon.
