Martyn Clarke's an expert in implementing change in education projects. He's going to be telling delegates at the Annual Conference that the self-help books approach to managing change doesn't work in the real world, where the situation is much more complex because of the number of people and opinions involved.

We therefore have compiled a report as a best estimate of the value of students to the UK's towns, cities, counties and nations, to be used in English UK members' campaigns, and as a useful resource for MPs, councillors, and journalists.

Six EL teachers have embarked upon their pioneering action research projects, supported by English UK and Cambridge English Language Assessment.
