The British Council and English UK are pleased to announce that they will be holding a launch event in the evening of Wednesday 19 September 2012 for three English language market reports on China, Italy and Turkey. This event will provide English UK members with the opportunity to network and hear the authors summarise and discuss their findings and conclusions.

English UK member centre, Inlingua Manchester, will be featured on a programme made for a television station in Guangzhou, China. The television station and the Guangzhou Foreign Affairs Office wanted to find a language centre to introduce UK summer programmes.

English UK are pleased to announce that bookings are being taken for the ELT Teachers' Conference 2012, held on Saturday 10 November at Prospero House, London.

English UK welcomes the recommendation by a committee of MPs that the Government should exclude students from its net migration target, with the Home Affairs Committee saying that it is important that the UK does not fall behind its international competitors by becoming a less attractive option for international students.
